Fireworks near Sevenoaks 2026: Nizels 6 Nov from £16, parking pre-book only; Tonbridge £11 advance to 23 Oct; Swanley free. Eight dates, none on the 5th.
Bonfire Night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November, which is awkward for a school night, so almost every organised display sits on the weekends either side. If you are looking for fireworks in Sevenoaks itself, the honest answer is that the town has not had a single reliable big display for a few years now, and the best options are a short drive out. Eight displays within reach have now published 2026 dates. Below are their dates, times and prices, then the ones that run most years but have not announced yet.
Everything here is checked against the organiser’s own website or ticket page, and where a 2026 date has not been published yet we say so rather than repeating last year’s date as if it still applied.

Godstone Farm Mini Fireworks Festival: 24 and 25 October 2026
The first display of the season, and the one built for small children. Godstone Farm runs a low bang fireworks and lasers show on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026, from 4.30pm (Godstone Farm).
The ticket covers more than the show. It includes:
- the low bang fireworks and lasers display
- a kids’ disco, stilt walkers, fire performers and a juggler
- after-hours access to the indoor Play Barn and the outdoor play area
- a last look at the farm animals before bedtime
Prices are £17.95 for adults and for children aged 2 and over, £13.95 for under 2s, and free for under 1s and carers (Godstone Farm). The farm says tickets are limited and early booking is essential.
What it means for you: it falls on the middle weekend of the October half term most Sevenoaks schools take, so it doubles as a half-term outing. Godstone is in Surrey, just off the M25, so you will need a car.
Tonbridge Fireworks Display: Sunday 1 November 2026
The closest large ticketed display with a confirmed 2026 date. Tonbridge Round Table runs it at the Racecourse Sports Ground in Tonbridge Park, gates at 5pm and the main display, choreographed to music, from 6.30pm (Tonbridge Fireworks).
The 2026 show has a theme: the Round Table is billing it as a Halloween spooktacular, “this year only”, choreographed again by Phoenix Fireworks (Tonbridge Fireworks).
Tickets are on sale now, and prices have come down. Advance tickets are £11.00 for adults over 16 and £7.00 for children aged 5 to 15, against £12.50 and £8.50 last season. Under 5s go free. Those advance prices hold until midnight on Friday 23 October, then rise (Tonbridge Fireworks).
An essential companion still goes free, but the check has changed. Instead of showing DLA, PIP or ESA paperwork at the gate, approval now runs through the Access Card scheme, so sort that out before the night. Two things are banned on site: sparklers and drones, and you cannot bring in alcohol; the bars sell it at pub prices. The 2025 display put £20,000 into local charities (Tonbridge Fireworks). One caution: the borough council’s listing still says tickets “from £8.50”, which is last year’s child price, so trust the organiser’s page over the council’s (TMBC).
The practical thing to get right is which way you walk in. Only three entrances open, and tickets are scanned at all three: New Wharf Road next to the Canoe Club, the Avebury Avenue bridge near Hendy’s Ford, and the Lower Castle Field car park bridge. Every other way into the Racecourse is closed off, so arriving at the wrong corner of the park means a long walk round in the dark. There is an accessible viewing area, licensed bars at pub prices, food stalls, first aid and a lost persons tent (Tonbridge Fireworks).
What it means for you: it is a Sunday, which is unusual and easy to get wrong. Tonbridge is about 20 minutes from Sevenoaks by car and roughly 10 minutes by train, and the sports ground is walkable from Tonbridge station, so this is the one display near Sevenoaks you can realistically do without driving or parking.
Swanley firework night: Friday 6 November 2026
Swanley Town Council runs a free bonfire and fireworks night at Swanley Recreation Ground, with a fair and music alongside the display. The council’s events listing gives Friday 6 November 2026, 5pm to 9pm (Swanley Town Council).
Free entry makes this the obvious choice with several children, and it is about 20 minutes from Sevenoaks up the A20 or two stops on the train. Because there are no tickets there is no capacity cap, so get there early if you want to be anywhere near the front.
Nizels Fireworks Night: Friday 6 November 2026
The closest confirmed display to Sevenoaks that is open to the public. Nizels Golf and Country Club in Hildenborough holds its Fireworks Night on Friday 6 November 2026. Gates open at 5.30pm, a children’s disco starts at 6pm, and the fireworks go up at 7.30pm. Stilt walkers, face painting and food and drink fill the time before (Nizels).
Tickets are on sale through the club’s own booking page (Nizels):

Parking is the catch. Every car needs a pre-booked parking ticket, none are sold on the night, and only 200 exist. When we checked on 29 September, 145 were left (Nizels).
What it means for you: book the parking ticket in the same order as the entry tickets, or plan to be dropped off.
Edenbridge Bonfire: Saturday 7 November 2026
Edenbridge is the one worth planning a proper evening around. The Edenbridge Bonfire Society runs Kent’s best known bonfire celebration, and the 2026 date is Saturday 7 November. Three times matter: the town centre road closure is advertised as 6pm to 10pm, the torchlit procession sets off at 6.30pm, and the fireworks start at 8.30pm at the Recreation Ground on Lingfield Road (Edenbridge Bonfire Society). Read the closure as a firm start and a loose finish. Every road in and out of the town centre shuts at 6pm prompt and nobody is let through until the event has finished, while the reopening depends on how long the parade runs and can be anywhere between 8pm and 10pm (Edenbridge Bonfire Society FAQs).
It is also the one with the giant satirical effigy, and there are two of them. The society builds a celebrity guy each year alongside the traditional Guy Fawkes, both about 11 metres tall, and both are brought down with gunpowder and flames during the display; the celebrity guy is now a 25 year tradition and has put Edenbridge in the national press more than once (Edenbridge Bonfire Society, KentOnline).
The procession is the other half of the evening and is worth arriving for. It is led by the society’s bishop of the bonfire and his choirboys, with effigies of Guy Fawkes, General Wolfe and Anne Boleyn carrying her own head, followed by visiting Sussex bonfire societies, lit carnival floats, costumed walking parties and marching bands (Edenbridge Bonfire Society). It leaves Fircroft Way once the road closures have been checked, which is why 6.30pm is an aim rather than a promise.
It also passes twice. The procession turns round in the Waitrose car park and comes back up the High Street for a second viewing before finishing at Station Approach, so a float you missed on the way down comes round again (Edenbridge Bonfire Society FAQs). It moves at walking pace or slower, so pick a spot and stay in it rather than chasing it along the pavement.
Where to park, and which station to use
The society names three car parks and four roads to stay away from. Park at Edenbridge Leisure Centre, TN8 5LU, at Market Yard, TN8 5BA, or in the small car park off the High Street behind Le Grys estate agents. Do not park in Fircroft Way, Station Road, the High Street or Mont St Aignan Way: those are the procession route, with large floats and more than a thousand burning torches coming through, and cars left on them are moved on (Edenbridge Bonfire Society FAQs).
The station is the part people coming from Sevenoaks get wrong, because Edenbridge has two of them on two different lines and the nearer one is not the one you can reach from here. Edenbridge Town, a couple of minutes from the procession route, sits on the Oxted line and is the station to use from East Croydon or Uckfield. From Sevenoaks you change at Tonbridge and arrive at Edenbridge station, roughly a ten minute walk from the route (Edenbridge Bonfire Society FAQs). Check the last train back before you set off, because the display does not start until 8.30pm.
On the field
The fireworks are at Edenbridge Recreation Ground, TN8 5HL, and there are two ways in: the Coomb Field entrance just off Lingfield Road, or the gate opposite Waitrose on Mont St Aignan Way (Edenbridge Bonfire Society FAQs). Food stalls sell food and soft drinks and a DJ plays through the evening (Edenbridge Bonfire Society). The one hard rule is alcohol. The society operates a strict no alcohol policy on the bonfire field, and says its security team will confiscate any that is brought in and ask the person carrying it to leave immediately (Edenbridge Bonfire Society FAQs).
Who the celebrity guy is stays secret until close to the night, and the society announces it on its Facebook and Instagram pages rather than on its website, so that is where to watch for it (Edenbridge Bonfire Society FAQs).
The street procession is free to watch, though volunteers work the crowd with collection buckets for local charities, and the society, a volunteer-run not-for-profit approaching its hundredth year, says every penny of that goes straight out again. Entry to the recreation ground for the display is ticketed, and the useful part is how those tickets are sold: they go into local shops usually at the beginning of October, and, unlike almost every other display here, you can also buy on the night (Edenbridge Bonfire Society tickets). Edenbridge is about 25 minutes from Sevenoaks by car, and the town gets very full, so arrive early for one of the car parks above.
What it means for you: the 8.30pm display start is late for small children, and the roads stay shut until the procession is clear, so a slow exit is part of the evening rather than bad luck. If you have a four year old, Godstone Farm, Riverhead or Swanley will suit you better.
Dunorlan Park, Tunbridge Wells: Saturday 7 November 2026
Royal Tunbridge Wells Round Table runs a charity display over the lake at Dunorlan Park on Saturday 7 November 2026. Festivities start at 5.30pm and the 18-minute display, set to film scores, starts at 7pm (Dunorlan Fireworks).
Advance prices hold until midnight on Friday 30 October, then rise (Dunorlan Fireworks):

Carers go free on showing DLA, PIP or ESA to the gate marshals. Sparklers, drones and your own alcohol are banned. Accessible parking at the Pembury Road car park is limited, and cars there cannot leave until the crowd has gone, so the organisers suggest walking from Crescent Road car park, about 15 minutes away (Dunorlan Fireworks).
St Julians Club, Sevenoaks: Saturday 7 November 2026 (members only)
St Julians, the members’ club off St Julian’s Road in Sevenoaks, holds its own fireworks night on Saturday 7 November. Doors open at 5pm, the fireworks go up at 7pm prompt, and a bonfire and family disco follow. Tickets are £20 per person aged 3 and over and go on sale from 1 October. It is members only, with no guests (St Julians). We list it so members know the date, not as an option for everyone else.
Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular: 7 and 8 November 2026
The biggest event in the county, and the one that sells out. Leeds Castle runs its Fireworks Spectacular on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026, themed around songs about time, with projections and lasers on the castle alongside the display (Leeds Castle).
Tickets are £29.00 for adults aged 16 and over, £20.00 for children aged 3 to 15, and free for under 3s (Leeds Castle booking). Note what you get for that: the site opens at 2pm so you have the grounds all afternoon, the display itself runs roughly 5.30pm to 6pm on the Cedar Lawn, and the event closes at 7pm (Leeds Castle event guide).
What it means for you: an early display finish is genuinely useful with young children, and it is the only nearby event where you are done and driving home before 7.30pm. Leeds Castle is about 45 minutes from Sevenoaks on the M20, a bit beyond the 30 minute radius, but it is the trip people make. Expect a long exit queue.
Displays that usually run but have not announced 2026 dates yet
Riverhead Fireworks, Sevenoaks
The closest display to Sevenoaks town centre, run by volunteers for the 3rd Sevenoaks (Riverhead and Dunton Green) Scout Group at their headquarters on Bradbourne Vale Road. It splits into two sittings, which is a sensible idea more displays should copy: a quieter display from 4pm with the first firework at 5pm, and a louder one from 6.30pm with the first rocket at 7.30pm (3rd Sevenoaks Scouts).
In 2025 it ran on Saturday 8 November at £8 per person aged 3 and over, £20 for a family of three and £25 for a family of four, with tickets sold in advance from The Bullfinch pub, Frank’s Barbers and Londis in Riverhead, and none available on the gate. It sold out (3rd Sevenoaks Scouts).
There is no 2026 date yet. As of 29 September the Scout group’s fundraising page still shows the 2025 event with SOLD OUT across the top, and the group’s separate riverheadfireworks.com address returns a hosting error rather than a site, so the Scout group’s own page (3rd Sevenoaks Scouts) is the one to watch. What that page does still set out is the release timetable, which is the bit to diarise: Scout families got a discounted presale at their weekly meetings from the last Monday in September, and general sale opened to everyone at midday on a Saturday in mid-October, in advance only, from those three Riverhead shops. If the group repeats that pattern, the Scout families presale would already be under way this week, with general sale following in mid-October. Some local listings already give Saturday 7 November for 2026, but the Scout group itself has not said so, so treat that date as unconfirmed.
What it means for you: the quieter early display is the best local option for toddlers and for dogs in the house nearby. Buy tickets the day they go on sale, because it does sell out and you cannot pay at the gate.
Sevenoaks Round Table charity fireworks
For years the town’s big event was the Round Table display on the Sevenoaks School sports fields, reached by a torchlit procession up the High Street with food and funfair rides beforehand. It has struggled to secure a venue, and the Round Table’s own events page currently lists nothing for the 2026 firework season (Sevenoaks Round Table). Treat it as unconfirmed rather than cancelled, and do not build the evening around it.
Reuthe’s, near Sevenoaks
Reuthe’s, the Lost Gardens of Sevenoaks, ran its third annual fireworks weekend in November 2025, but the gardens then closed for major groundworks until March 2026, so the November programme is worth checking rather than assuming (Reuthe’s events).
School and village displays
Radnor House Sevenoaks holds a fireworks night run by Friends of Radnor House, ticketed in advance through Ticket Tailor (Radnor House Sevenoaks). Hextable Park near Swanley has run a free family display, and several village schools around Tonbridge do their own. These almost always announce in October through school newsletters and village Facebook groups rather than anywhere searchable, so ask locally.
What about Hever and Penshurst?
Neither runs a Bonfire Night display. When do tickets go on sale? Godstone Farm, Nizels, Dunorlan Park and Leeds Castle are already selling. Nizels parking tickets are limited to 200 and not sold on the night (Nizels). Leeds Castle is selling for 7 and 8 November (Leeds Castle). Tonbridge is selling now, and its £11 adult and £7 child advance prices rise after midnight on 23 October (Tonbridge Fireworks). Every organiser’s own website checked on 29 September 2026. Godstone Farm, Tonbridge, Swanley, Nizels, Edenbridge, Dunorlan Park, St Julians and Leeds Castle all have confirmed 2026 dates. On 29 September the Riverhead Scouts page still showed the sold-out 2025 display, the Round Table’s events listing was still empty, and Edenbridge’s tickets were not yet in the shops. Several displays publish full detail in late September or October, so confirm before you set off.
